Formerly part of the City of Broadmeadows but now the northernmost section of the City of Moreland. Although it started as a settlement around the North Eastern railway line in 1888 Glenroy is really a part of the 50s and 60s population boom when the numbers of those who chose to call it home increased exponentially. It contains the sanctified grounds of Fawkner Cemetery at its Eastern border, buffering it from the ceaseless buzz of Sydney Rd. It is quiet and genteel.
